Wedding Slideshow Video

We LOVE creating a wedding slideshow video for our clients, as a perfect way to showcase the story of your lives merging into one.

A wedding slideshow video can be done in many different ways. Our couples provide us with the images they want to appear, along with any song selections they want included to play behind their photos. Video clips, say of the proposal, dress shopping, and so on may also be included in between the photos, to create something a little more unique. Our couples get the chance to proof their video to make sure every photo looks good and is in the order they want it to appear. The file is then either delivered digitally or on a DVD prior to the wedding day. If A Sound Impression is also providing the DJ services for the reception, our DJs will bring a back of copy of the wedding slideshow video and will be in charge of setting it up and playing it at the appropriate time.

In order to show the wedding slideshow video at the reception, it takes either a set up TV or a projector/screen combo. We have those available to rent if the venue you’ve chosen for your reception doesn’t include one or have it’s own. The other thing to consider is how your guests will hear the sound to your video. Often times, the DJ or band you’ve hired will let you plug into their system to project the sound over the speakers, or the reception venue may have a house speaker system as well.

If you choose the TV route, some couples will place the TV at the entrance of the hall, on continuous rotation so the guests can watch it at their convenience throughout the night. This works better if your hall is uniquely shaped or set up, in a way that is difficult for all guests to watch. This way also allows the reception events to continue without having to block out time for the slideshow to play.

Overall, there are many different ways to piece together a wedding slideshow video. Our services are available at any point during your planning process, and we are happy to assist in any way we can!

Nathan + Samantha | Bluestem Tree Farm Wedding

Outdoor ceremonies are one of my favorite things about weddings, and this one was no different. Nathan and Samantha were an eccentric couple – their excitement for their big day was contagious and the love they had for each other was electric. The day was stunning and we couldn’t have asked for a better couple to share it with.

The Bluestem Tree Farm is a stunning venue, where everything is in one location for a smooth transition between events. It has an outdoor ceremony space, a vineyard, a reception building with the option of outdoor seating, and a house/patio/fire pit for those brides who would like to stay on site the night before.

Wedding Videography Tip #2 | First Look

Our goal is always to create the most amazing video possible for your wedding day, and while we always work with that in mind, there are little things YOU can do to help make sure things flow perfectly.

Videography Tip #2 | First Look

As one of the debated topics among wedding industry professionals as well as brides to be, it’s something that can add a whole new element to the wedding day. Most girls grow up dreaming of a large, white wedding with your groom seeing you for the first time as you walk down the aisle. As we get older, traditions have changed and more couples than ever are opting for a “First Look” or a “First Reveal” before the actual ceremony.

So what’s the benefit? Think of this way. During the ceremony, there are SO many things going on. You’re being escorted by your father down a long aisle, trying to remember smile as you are surrounded by 100+ of your closest friends and family, trying to focus on your handsome groom standing at the end.. chances are he has seen you well before you see him. You could miss his reaction – or, he may be so taken by beauty that he wants to cry, but is embarrassed to in front of 100+ people. Instead, imagine this: You walking up, tapping your groom on the shoulder, taking in every moment of his reaction while you two relish in the moment that this IS your wedding day. It’s here. And it’s really happening. Why not take a few minutes together alone, exchange gifts, or just take a breather in what will be the most whirlwind day of your life. It’s a way to ensure you not only get to see his complete reaction to you in your stunning dress (because you tried on hundreds to find the perfect one!) but also to give yourselves a few minutes of togetherness.

As for the video, the first look adds so much to your film – the tears, the joy, the smiles, most importantly the LOVE between you will shine through adding emotion and passion to your film, taking you right back to that moment every time you watch it.

But not to worry – You will still glow with happiness as you walk down the aisle, but now you just get to take in the moment. And trust me, it will still take his breath away. 🙂

A Little Southern Tradition

Rain, rain go away, come again another day! We can guarantee that the thought of rain on her big day has crossed just about every bride’s mind at one time or another. Well worry no more, we have found an old southern tradition that might be just want you need for your Wedding Day. Southern folklore says that if you bury a bottle of bourbon at the site where the bride and groom are to be married, then it won’t rain on their wedding day. This must be done exactly one month before the wedding, the bottle must be completely full and it must be buried upside down. Are you willing to try out the tradition to be sure the rain clouds stay away?

It might be worth a shot if you are getting married in Nebraska, we all know how the weather can be around here!
